• As part of the financial programme signed in 2008 between the government of Egypt and Spain, it was agreed to build a 120-MW wind farm in the gulf of El-Zayt, to be financed in part by the Fund for the Internationalisation of Companies (FIEM) and in part by local financing.   • Technical support to oversee the progress of the project and ensure that it is executed to the highest possible standards, and to ensure that both parties comply with the milestones specified in the project, to guarantee the subsequent transfer of the wind farm to the relevant Egyptian authorities. The turnkey project for the 120-MW wind farm in the Gulf of El-Zayt was awarded by the Egyptian Ministry of Energy’s Renewable Energies Agency (NREA), and restricted to specialised Spanish companies. Work on the project began on 10 March 2016. Since then, an Isdefe team has been onsite performing the consulting tasks assigned. The timeline for carrying out the project is two years of construction and three years of follow-up during the warranty period.
